Summer Mix of new plays
Following the success of last years "six of the Best" of new Irish plays at the London Irish Centre, LIT are moving the goalposts slightly this year by staging three plays in six weeks entitled "Summer Mix".
Please note that all the dates are Tue-Thu only unless otherwise specified and the venue is London Irish Centre, Camden SQuare NW1 9XB. Admission is £5.
20-29 July The Trials of Frankie Flynn by Peter Hammond directed by Katherine Reilly: Frankie Flynn is a typical Dub. His life is ordered and he is in control of his wife and grown up children – or so he imagines!
3-12 August. Donegal Wake by Ria Higgins directed by Owen Nolan: In a ramshackle house off the west coat of Ireland a sudden death brings a family together for the first time in years.
17-26 August. Belfast Girl by John Dunne directed by Mary Tynan: Annie is a working class protestant who grew up during the troubles. An unexpected visit from a sweetheart who she hasn’t seen since her teens, brings matters to a head in an explosive manner.
